I'm so slack!

Anyway, back at it!

Missed a couple of days...well, more like a week.
But what's sore today...
1) upper back and traps
2) hamstrings

What will be sore tomorrow...
1) shoulders from today's workout
2) hamstrings will probably be a little sore tomorrow

Tomorrow on deck is chest and tris...I friggin love doing triceps!

Not a whole lot new going on...
Working on some t-shirt designs and catchy little gym phrases. Just gotta find some extra time... *sigh*

AGH!

Legs are still sore! That's the good news...

The bad news...
Had to split up my workout today. I had to hit back this morning and later (when I get off  work) I will do biceps. Which will probably be after 8pm.... ugh!

Today has been a trying day.

FRIDAY FRIDAY FRIDAY!

So didn't post yesterday, but here's the deal:

Thursday was back and biceps. Marissa and I got up and hit it hard! My friggin' biceps are taking their time getting bigger, my triceps are leaving them in the dust! Weird. All I want for Christmas is a pair of matching guns! Anyway, it was a good workout!

                                             

Today on the other hand was leg day number two for the week. Marissa, Josh, and I were at the gym bright and early after I dragged my tired @$$ out of bed. We did squats, leg press, split leg smith machine lunges, dead lifts, lying hamstring curls, seated hamstring curls, and outer thigh. I could hardly hold myself up after all that. Marissa said she about ate it getting out of her car. So the weekend should be fun! May need to break out the walker.
Tomorrow I'm hitting shoulders again! They are just asking for it! Come on shoulder caps!

De pain boss, de pain!

Yeah so today is an un-planned rest day. Due to the pain I have already inflicted on my body in just a couple of days. So let me getcha updated:
Hamstrings are still sore.
Abs are still sore...
shoulders are sore from yesterday...
chest is getting sore...
triceps are letting me know they are back there...

So, today was supposed to be back and biceps...which is now on deck for tomorrow. Leg day #2 will be friday. Saturday will be shoulders again. THIS IS THE PLAN! NO MORE DAYS OFF UNTIL SUNDAY (unless I have a repeat performance from earlier this week. Killin' it.)!

Hamstrings,shoulders, and abs! oh my!

Whoops! Missed a day of bloggin'!

Anyway, Monday was hamstrings (supposed to be hamstrings and glutes... so glutes have been moved to friday's quads day.) and I'm a little sore. But, whenever I train legs it's usually the 2nd day soreness that gets me...so I will keep my fingers crossed that I will be sore. I know whatever I did for abs yesterday worked! oi'!

Today, was shoulders! Marissa and I killed them. I mean...killed...them...dead... Did some new stuff and ouch! Come on shoulder cap!

On deck tomorrow is chest and tri's...if I don't go back tonight and hit chest with Josh. We'll see how I feel.

Later on is grocery store! Need to go get some spinach and broccoli, I'm out.
You know you love Popeye! Don't be hatin'! Jus' jealous of those forearms...

weekend re-cap...aka, crap I did this weekend.

ok, so Saturday went really well. Headed to my check-in with my awesome trainer with my boyfriend (who is training to do his first body building show,  yes I am lucky!). We both checked in and both got some positive feedback. However, I have a lot more to work on. Here is my list:
  1.  work on traps...just a little. I dont need a lot, don't wanna looka-lika-man.
  2. upper chest. Yeah, well...
  3. shoulders (front, side, and rear. mostly side and rear)
  4. biceps...son of a....stupid friggin' arms
  5. lats...they are looking pretty good already but could be better
  6. hamstrings...kinda knew that one needed some help
  7. hit abs more...yeah ive been slacking there.
Then found out that my first competition will be in May... holy under-roos Batman! That means my prep will likely start in Jan sometime. Doesnt give me a whole lot of time to make these improvements.
Josh (my boyfriend)had a rather good first ever check-in. His list of things towork on is not even close to as long a mine (jealous? yup!). Plus, he may only need an 8 week prep. Sickening. I'll be at a 12 or more week prep. Blah. Oh well, gotta suck it up!
Tomorrow is leg day one for this week. The focus? Why hamstrings and glutes of course! Gonna hit abs too. Wish me luck, I'm going to need it. Looks like I'm gonna be the little figure girl that could (aka the smallest one on stage). My trainer said Ive graduated from bikini, so heres to lots of quater turn and lat spreading practice (which I might add, I'm pretty good at spreading my baby wings!).

oatmeal and protein shake contemplations

so today is "check-in with Glenn" day.  And as I sit on my bed eating my oatmeal  and drinking my banana protein shake a few things are running through my mind:
1) I am in a waaaaaay different place than I was the last time I got ready to go through the
diet and training last year. This time, I am only around people who support me and get why I do and love this crazy sport! It makes a HUGE difference.
2) I am proud of myself! I have come such a long way! I have muscle now, where once spaghetti noodles once were! Plus, pushing myself in the gym and with the diet, I have learned that I am one tough (sugar free) cookie!
3) I am so friggin' stubborn it's ridiculous (and a little OCD)!
4) I put waaaaay too much Glutamine in this shake...

Put up or shut up time!

So December is officially "quit yer b*tchin', and get to liftin' " month! Hit back and biceps hard yesterday, and I'm sore. The day before was chest and tri's, and my chest is awesomely sore (yes, I said awesomely)!
Today will be the second leg day this week. I love the pain, but I'm an odd bird anyway. I don't feel like I've accomplished anything if I'm not sore. (this girl is crazy)
Tomorrow, I will be heading out on the road to go check in with my awesome trainer. Keepin' my fingers crossed that I am still making progress. We will find out whether I need to take more time to build what I can, or if my cutting phase starts in January. I'm certainly not feeling buff enough, but I know there has been some progress.
(Marissa and me (I'm in the purple) killin' it in the gym! We should've left the guns at home!)

I feel as if I am eating enough for a 300lb male. I can pack away the food and yes, I am proud of this fact!

New Blog!

So, I am currently in off-season trying to build a little (well a lot of, but I'll take what I can get) muscle. I've competed in 2 NPC bikini competitions and would love to step up to figure... but sadly, it looks like I will be rockin' the bikini once more this year.
Don't get me wrong, I have put on more muscle... and I love it. But, things could be better, a lot better.
So, I will be using this blog as a journal of sorts to post my workouts, diets, progress, and my b*tch fits!
I will try my best to keep this updated!
